Aisling Bea

Aisling is a popular Irish comedian who has been around for a long time. She was born in Kildare, Ireland on the 16th of March 1984. The comedian has appeared on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling Claiodhnadh, also known as Aisling "Bea" is a popular Irish writer and actor. She was born on the 16th of March 1984. Bea's professional career started in 2011 as a comedian after appearing in small roles on Irish and British TV series starting in the year 2009. As early as 2012, Bea was appearing on sketch comedy shows or sitcoms. She began appearing regularly in panel shows following her win of an award for in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. Between 2016 and 2017 she was a part of 8 Out of 10 Cats team in addition to being a performer of the 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown spinoff. She was born to Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister named Sinead. The only ever woman to win So You Think You're Funny. Bea, her maiden name, is a tribute to her father who passed away. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan, born Kildare town County Kildare on 16 March 1984. She was the daughter of Brian O'Sullivan. Brian was a veterinarian for horses who died when Bea was only three years old though she was not told how he died until she turned thirteen. To honor the man she loved, Bea adopted the stage name Bea and in 2017, wrote an article about suicides in her family members for The Guardian. Bea (and her sister Sinead) was raised in a home by Helen Moloney, who was a school instructor and trainer of jockeys who was a professional jockey. Their family was enthralled by racing as well as horses. In her youth Bea worked as a tour guide for the Irish National Stud however she knew from a young age that she wasn't attracted to the race industry as a job, and was a performer.
