Michael Keaton was an American actor, producer, and director who is best known as the star of Birdman. Being a multi-faceted actor, he is able to perform comic and dramatic parts. Alongside characters with romantic appeal, he played in action films as well as thrillers. While still in his teens the actor began developing an interest in both acting and performance. Later, as young, he began to try stand-up humor. He was unsuccessful in his comedy career but this paved the path for his successful acting career. Because he could not to make it as acting, he chose to work as a TV cameraman. This job was the first time he realized that it was his dream to be in front of cameras. Then he landed a TV role, appearing in several episodes in Mister Rogers Neighborhood. He was a natural actor who soon gained a lot of attention on the television. He had great goals, and began a career in film and gained fame for his comedy role. He earned further acclaim for his portrayal of the famous superhero from Tim Burton's Batman. In time he grew up in the field of acting and then began working in productions and directed films. In 2014, his performance as Birdman earned him numerous awards and nods.
